Be it the nightlife or the wildlife, Nairobi is a city, full of life. Functioning as the capital city of Kenya, it has grown from an administrative center into a prominent social hub, presenting the cultures and wonderments of Kenya to the world. Known for its festivals and flamboyant happenings, Kenyan capital is truly a fabulous place to visit. Undoubtedly, making the best use of  Nairobi flights means thoroughly exploring the city of Nairobi. It would be great to know the weather conditions of the city in order to have a desirable tour.

Starting from January, temperatures began to increase but interestingly, even the highest temperatures in the city are not discomforting. For the first two months of the year, nighttime temperatures can be 11oC whereas during the day, they can rise to 25oC and 26oC respectively. Temperature conditions in Nairobi are rather erratic which increase during nights in March and April to 13oC and 14oC but reduce during the daytime back to 25oC and then to 24oC respectively. From the month of May, temperatures began to lower, ranging between 13oC and 23oC and those in June range between 11oC and 22oC. The nights from the month of July till September, experience a temperature of 10oC while those from October till December, experience a temperature of 13oC. In the moths of July and August, temperatures during the daytime can be around 21oC. This can increase to 24oC in September and 25oC in October and can fall back to 23oC in November and December.

Rainfalls increase from 45mm in January to 160mm May. In February, they may measure up to 51mm but they are expected to reach 101mm in March. The month of April usually experiences around 206mm of rainfall allowing May to be the rainiest month of the year. Beginning to decrease from June, the rainfall lowers to 46mm and moves further down to 19mm in July. In August and September, an increase is seen when the precipitation measures up to 26mm further increasing to 109mm in November through 54mm in October. In December, it reduces to 82mm.

The first four and the last three months of the year are considered favorable for tourism as a good amount of sunlight allows for increased opportunities to explore. In January and February, it is available for 9 hours reducing to 7 hours until April whilst falling for 8 hours in March. From October till December, sunlight is available for 7 hours. Sunlight in May is available for 6 hours but reduces its time to 5 hours for June and 4 hours for July and August. In September, it increases again to 6 hours.

Humidity is high in the city most of the year but never to a very undesirable or discomforting extent. Amazingly, it is considerably lower and fitter for tourism compared to many other parts of Africa. July is the most humid month of the year with 79% of the atmosphere filled with vapor while October is the least humid month in Nairobi, with a level of 64%.

In short, it can be said that weather conditions in Nairobi are tourist friendly to a bug extent. All throughout the year, temperatures and humidity treat the travelers fairly while rainfalls do not prove a hindrance either. However rain lovers can try finding cheap flights to Nairobi for the rainier months and have a great holiday in their own style.
